Avoiding the tempation to cheat

Cheating is a temptation for everyone.  Unfortunately, we read about it and hear about it daily when another trusted public person is discovered as cheating.  I don't have to make specific references, you know the stories to which I am referring.

The ironic thing about cheating is that while it often gives instant reward, monitarily or otherwise, it is often short term and the the magnatude of the consequences are often much worse than the level of the rewards.

On the other hand, the reward of avoiding cheating is guarenteed to be greater than the benefit of cheating.  If everyone accepted this fact, we would all be much further ahead in this civiliation of ours.  It falls upon everyone's shoulders to avoid cheating and set the example of honesty for others.
